Fiber…Bringing Sexy Back!
OK, so this might be the worst title I have ever come up with, but I think it gets your attention. For those of you that are counting your calories, I want you to take a look at how much fiber you are getting in each day. If you want look and feel your best you need to make sure you are getting plenty of fiber in our diet.

Reason #1. Fiber keeps your belly full.
If you’re trying to loss weight, high fiber foods help fill you up with fewer calories. High fiber foods are are naturally bulky, which makes your stomach feel full. They also slow down the digestive process allowing you to go longer without feeling hungry. There have been studies showing that fiber even decreases the amount of fat and calories that are absorbed from the digestive tract.

Reason #2. Fiber helps prevent disease.
Fiber acts as a janitor in your system, sweeping up digestive and cellular debris, mopping up cholesterol, environmental toxins and surplus hormones, and taking it out with the trash. High-fiber diets have been shown to reduce risk of heart disease, diabetes, and many kinds of cancer.

Reason #3. One word…REGULAR!
Do I need to say more than that? No constipation!

Reason #4. Fiber is found with other healthy stuff.
Typically fiber is found in foods that are also contain lots of antioxidants, phytonutrients, lignans, and phenolser.

Now tell me fiber isn’t bringing sexy back now.

It is recommended that women get 21 to 25 grams a day of fiber a day and men get 30 to 38 grams of fiber a day.

To start your day off right you can eat a cereal that is high in fiber such as Kashi Go Lean. You also want to make sure to eat several servings of fruits and vegetables each day. Eating more beans and legumes as well as choosing whole grains over refined carbs will also help.

Here is a list of some high fiber foods.

Note: When making changes to your diet such as adding fiber like I have talked about above, you should use caution. Whenever you make changes to your diet or exercise routine you should do it slowly over a period of time such as a few days or a week to make sure that you do not experience any ill effects.
